Location & History

Surrounding Hokumon Yashiki is a historic setting where two eras intersect—the samurai residences of the Edo period and the former homes of loyalists from the final days of the shogunate. Take a map in hand and enjoy exploring the town of Hagi at your own pace.

Beautiful sea cucumber walls and white walls, the exterior of this Japanese-style building evokes a sense of history.
